Tasting notes
They have stayed on brand with this white, delivering creamy peaches, nectarine pit, cloves, vanilla bean, white flowers, 50% new French oak, cropping at three bunches, 22hl/h yield, which is not so far below their usual approach. I say this every year, but this is very much a gourmet style of white wine, and even in this vintage the Maltus team has kept to it - although it seems a little tougher to do so in 2024. Harvest 4 to 8 September. 3.39pH,

The 2024 Le Nardian increased production this year with more contribution from the Sauvignon Blanc. Matured in 50% new oak, it has a pretty and quite alluring bouquet with lime flower, tangerine and peach skin scents. The palate is well balanced, crisp and vibrant with a fresh entry and plenty of pear and green apple notes. It finishes a little short but I like the freshness and vitality.
Juicy and lively with notes of stones fruit and mild spices, following through to a medium body with fresh acidity. Vivid and precise with a long, flavorful finish.
