The 2024 Larrivaux opens with a vibrant burst of blue/purplish fruit. It shows good depth, but there are some angular contours that are hard to look past. Élevage will be critical here. For now, the 2024 comes across as quite raw. Tasted two times.

The 2024 Larrivaux has a light nose with blackberry, wild hedgerow and dried rose petal scents. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins that frame the cedar-tinged black fruit, gentle grip with a modicum of freshness and salinity on the finish. I can imagine enjoying this over the next five to seven years.

Flowers, tobacco leaf, and currants provide a lot of pleasure in this forward, fruity, easy-to-like charmer. You can open, and enjoy this on release.
