Honeyed orange, exotic flowers, brioche, cream, wonderful purity, and serious botrytis character all emerge from the 2024 Château Lafaurie Peyraguey Coeur De Terroir, a medium to full-bodied, rich, and opulent Sauternes that has terrific acidity, balance, and length. Made from Sémillon, it spent nine months in barrel followed by nine months in stainless steel. This is a gorgeous Sauternes in the making.

100% Sémillon. RS 149 g/l. 12 hl/ha. Cask sample. Yellow gold. Pure and aromatic with citrus, pineapple and tropical-fruit notes. Palate suave and full with a lingering point of acidity. Bitter botrytised finish. Long and harmonious. (JL)
