Tasting notes
The 2024 La Serre offers up attractive aromas of cherries, raspberries, petals and fresh mint, followed by a medium-bodied, ample and pure palate that's precise and vibrant, with good intensity and cut. This is a strong performance from this improving property.

Well located on the limestone plateau, this is understated, elegant, well balanced, effortless, with a great mix of austerity, limestone typicity, salted cracker, raspberry leaf, redcurrant and gunsmoke. A little abrupt on the finish. 50% new oak. Harvest 28 September to 9 October.
The 2024 La Serre is less opulent than recent vintages as expected, though it unfolds with pleasant blackberry, wild strawberry and light mocha scents. The palate is soft and rounded on the entry—no hard edges here. The 2024 has light tannins but there is sufficient weight on the lightly spiced finish to keep you happy. This is gluggable in the most positive sense of the word.
Fresh, vibrant, soft, and refined, with sweetness, and lift to its core of raspberries, cherries, and plums, with a touch of spice and minty freshness in the finish, this is going to be delicious on release and for 12-15 years after that. Picking took place September 28 - October 9.
