2024 La Fleur d'Arthus

Tasting notes
Smoky grilled cedar and campfire on the opening, attractively handled without being overpowering. Cloves and white pepper dominant, adding density, texture and interest while not entirely covering up the softness of the raspberry and redcurrant fruit. Enjoyable, no need to wait too long.

The 2024 La Fleur d'Arthus was showing some reduction on the nose, but there is decent mulberry and plummy fruit behind it. The palate is medium-bodied and fleshy, with supple tannins, red berry fruit, licorice and light marmalade notes on the finish. I would happily drink this after a couple of years in bottle.
Green wood spices to the already savory fruit with some drying tannins. This has medium body and a chewy finish.
