The 2024 Château de La Dauphine was reduced to 30,000 bottles this year due to yields at 25 hl/ha. The selection came only from two parts on the plateau. It has a pretty bouquet with light violet scents and neatly integrated oak. The palate is well balanced with supple tannins and a dash of white pepper toward the finish. This is a successful 2024 that will give pleasure over the next decade or more.
With a floral bouquet setting off the perfume, the wine is on the finesse side, focusing on its elegant character that allows its vivid display of black raspberries, plums, licorice, chocolate, and crushed stones to shine. The wine blends 75% Merlot with 25% Cabernet Franc. Production was down close to 70% from hail.
A refined and flavorful red with balance. It shows aromas of dark cherries, herbs and baking spices. Flavorful and spicy with an elegant texture and a flavorful finish with good length.
