Tasting Notes
The 2024 La Chénade combines sweet raspberry, blueberry and white pepper on the nose, leading to a plummy, spicy palate. There’s a seamlessness to the fruit here, with bright, tart acidity alongside the purity and chalky tannins. The long finish is scented with potpourri and ripe blueberry fruit. Aged in 52% new oak, 13.3% alcohol. Blend: 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc

A blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, named after the lieu-dit in Lalande-de-Pomerol, the 2024 Château La Chenade is deep purple-hued and has impressive aromatics of juicy black cherries, violets, red plums, and tobacco. This upfront, juicy, medium-bodied, round, lush 2024 is a crowd pleaser.
Deep garnet-purple colored. Notes of fresh black and red plums and wild strawberries spill from the glass, followed by hints of damp soil and black pepper. The light to medium-bodied palate is soft with black and red berry flavors with soft acidity and a peppery finish.
A blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, the 2024 La Chenade offers up aromas of pepper, pencil shavings, dark berries and licorice. Medium-bodied, structured and firm, it's layered with a good chassis of tannins built around tangy acids, concluding with a grippy, short finish.
