Tasting Notes
More somber and brooding than in previous vintages, the 2024 Joanin Bécot opens with aromas of cassis, violet, iris and dark berries followed by a moderately weighted, supple and juicy palate, framed by vibrant acidity, concluding with a long, ethereal finish. Despite the challenges of the vintage, Juliette Bécot has crafted a perfumed, punchy and elegant expression of Castillon that stands out for its finesse and energy.

Creamy raspberry fruits, white pepper and cloves on the opening, with lemongrass and pumice stone reflecting the limestone terroir. Highest point of Gironde at 130m, Thomas Duclos consultant. Harvest 29 September to 7 October. 3.5 pH 34 hl/ha.
Truffle, flowers, and black cherries form the core of this wine. The palate is fresh and fruity, with loads of charm, leaving you with strawberries, and cherries in the mid-palate and in the finish. The wine is a blend of 85% Merlot, and 15% Cabernet Franc. The wine is produced from some of the oldest vines in the appellation, with the vines dating back to 1870!
