Tasting Notes
The nose is perfumed, with intense cherries and lifted florals. There’s a lush intensity to the palate, with a mineral line that supports the fruit and complements the bright acidity. There’s lovely concentration here with fine tannins that provide a fine-boned framework. 12.7% and 3.74pH. Blend: 80% Cabernet Franc, 20% Merlot

Offering up aromas of minty berries, petals and green beans, the 2024 Haut-Simard is medium-bodied, tangy and delicate, built around brisk acids.
Fagrant floral character, confident grip, and even though it is slim, it is savoury, mouthwatering and really enjoyable with personality - thoroughly recommend choosing this over the Simard in this vintage. Harvest 24 September to 5 October, high Cabernet Franc character. They stepped back from organic certification in the vintage, 45hl/ha yield.
The 2024 Haut-Simard is very good wine for the year, especially for a vineyard that is only about 15 years old after heavy replanting. It offers terrific depth and the mid-palate pliancy to match. Succulent red cherry fruit, blood orange, rose petal, mint and white pepper open first, with plenty of Cabernet Franc overtones that keep things vibrant. This is very nicely done.
