Tasting notes
This is an exuberant Grand Village, with pear, greengage, green apple and grass alongside chalky minerality. The palate is zesty and fresh, with limey purity that reverberates through the long finish. It’s zingy, bright, mouthwatering and very moreish. Blend: 78% Sauvignon Blanc, 22% Semillon

This is a wild GV with so much sliced lemon, green apple and lime, as well as hints of flint. Mussel shells, too. Medium-bodied, tangy and vivid. A blend of 78% sauvignon and 22% semillon.
Linden, jasmine, elderflower and elderberry, white currant, redcurrant leaf. Lime, lime zest, confit lime and citron pressé. A little white pear and peach. This is seriously structured by the acidity, like a calcaire red. Beautifully tactile. Energetic. Lithe and dynamic. Tomato consommé in texture and viscosity. And so scrunchy on the finish. I love the hint of natural sweetness of the fruit on the attack. White grapefruit, almost scorched pineapple. Powdery chalky tannins squeeze this out on the finish like water out of a wet towel. Brilliant.
Scheduled to be bottled in June (tasted out of tank), the 2024 Grand Village (Lafleur) Blanc has a bright, racy, mineral-driven style in its crushed citrus, lime, chalk, and sappy, minty herb-driven aromatics. It's medium-bodied, has a vibrant spine of acidity, and outstanding length.
