2024 Gloria

Tasting notes
Gloria is always such a consistent performer and the 2024 is no different. Deep purple in colour with lovely peppery spice and herbal aromatics on the nose, the palate is similarly charming. There’s a wave of ripe black fruit with a touch of menthol. The finish is long with a line of gentle, moreish acidity. The firm but subtle tannins slowly melt away on the finish. This will certainly drink well in the near future. Blend: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot

Based on 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, with the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, the 2024 Château Gloria reveals rock-solid cassis, graphite, smoky tobacco, and nicely integrated oak notes. Medium-bodied and beautifully balanced, with a slightly modern style, it has pure fruit, fine tannins, and a great finish.
Aromas of blackberries, cassis and toasty oak introduce the 2024 Gloria, a medium-bodied, lively wine built around youthfully chalky tannins.
About the producer

The modest Ch. Gloria was only created in the 1940s, when Henri Martin – a cooper – purchased some vines. With parcels dotted in amongst the region’s Classed Growths, it produces impressive wines. Today it's managed by Vanessa and Jean Triaud (Henri Martin’s granddaughter and grandson-in-law).
