Earthy red and black fruits, spicy wood, and liquid violet/floral notes all emerge from the 2024 Enclos Tourmaline. This riper, medium to full-bodied, straight-up sexy wine has plenty of mid-palate depth, a supple, layered mouthfeel, and outstanding length.
Deep garnet-purple colored. Wild blueberries and raspberries notes open on the nose, giving way to suggestions of wild fungi and tar. Light to medium-bodied, the palate is a bit chewy and rugged with just enough fruit and an earthy finish.
A blend of 96% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc, the 2024 Enclos Tourmaline offers up a somber, dark bouquet of licorice, gentian, spices and smoke mingled with delicate oaky notes. Medium-bodied, firm and compact, it has good depth at the core framed by brittle tannins and a lively, energetic finish.
