2024 D'Arsac

The 2024 Château d'Arsac has a light bouquet with hints of pressed flowers infusing the mainly black fruit. It just lacks vigor. The palate is medium-bodied with rough tannins on the entry. It's slightly peppery in style with a short but at least cohesive finish. This is early-drinking.

Brambled red fruits, violet flowers, they have done a nice job here of holding everything together and delivering well textured, chalky tannins with lift and character. 35hl/h yield, 45% new oak, 3.66ph, Raoux family owners, this is the first vintage since Philippe Raoux died.

Dark ruby in hue, the wine reveals a dense and earthy bouquet, with subtle smoky undertones. The palate is marked by bold tannins and pronounced acidity, offering flavours of dark fruits, notably blackcurrant and blackberry. While currently astringent and firm, the wine exhibits good freshness and a peppery finish.
