The 2024 Croizet Bages is a very pretty, gracious Pauillac. Crushed flowers, sweet red-toned fruit, chalk, mint and white pepper give the 2024 lovely aromatic presence to play off its mid-weight personality. There's potential here.
Black currants, cherries, cedar, and cocoa are the intro to the wine. Medium-bodied, chewy, savory, fresh, and vibrant, you find a minty edge to the sweet and spicy currants on the palate and in the finish. The wine blends 70% Cabernet Sauvignon with 30% Merlot, 13% ABV. Harvesting took place September 23 - October 8.
A perfumed nose, showing some sweet spices, cherries, stones and herbs. Crisp and fluid with medium body and some lightly chewy tannins. Juicy and herbal in the finish.
