Tasting notes
Based on 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Franc from just outside the village of Saint-Émilion, the 2024 Château Clos Saint-Julien reveals darker berries, crushed stone, graphite, and hints of leafy herbs. Medium-bodied on the palate, it shows terrific minerality, refined tannins, and a solid finish.

The 2024 Clos Saint-Julien has a perfumed, Margaux-like bouquet with a mélange of blueberry and blackcurrant fruit. This has fine delineation and the oak is neatly integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, decent weight on the mid-palate and just a bit of grip on the finish that bodes well for the future. This is one to keep an eye on.
Flowers, with ocean breezes, coupled with strawberries, cherries, and red plums are all over the place here. Fresh, vibrant, and salty, with chocolate, licorice, and a touch of espresso, and spearmint come along with the bright red berries on the palate, and in the finish. The wine blends 50% Cabernet Franc with 50% Merlot.
