Tasting Notes
Flowers, and plums define the wine in the perfume, and on the medium-bodied palate, finishing with light, bright fresh, black cherries, licorice, and a touch of cocoa in the mid palate, and in the mineral-tinted finish. The wine blends 90% Merlot with 10% Cabernet Franc. Since 2014, Clos La Gaffeliere has been a unique wine from a parcel selection and not the second wine of La Gaffeliere.

This shows brooding, sour dark cherries with mulberries and a fleshy yet structured palate. Some chewy tannins linger in the flavorful finish.
Fresh and darkly fruited, with blueberry and bramble, a little stone fruit too. Vibrant, with a somewhat elevated and racy acidity but because it’s nicely enrobed in fruits that we expect to have a high acidity this feels very natural. Impressive for what it is. Nicely managed. The class of the wine comes from the quality of the tannins.
