Tasting notes
A blend of 78% Merlot, 10% Malbec, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc, the 2024 Cap St George reveals a surprisingly perfumed, elegant bouquet of cassis, mulberries and flowers. Medium-bodied, lively and elegant, it has a juicy core of fruit and a long, mouthwatering finish perfectly framed by fresh tannins. This is a real effort.

The fingerprint of limestone austerity is fairly intrusive on the opening, although there is charm here, with berry fruits and pumice stone texture that draws things out. High acidity stops things deepening through the palate.
The 2024 Cap St. George is very nicely done. Soft, fruity and open-knit, the 2024 is all charm. Silky tannins wrap around a core of plum, mocha, rose petal and new leather. Pretty floral top notes extend the finish. Tasted two times.
Black cherries, with mint, and licorice for the character here. Medium-bodied, fruity, and lifted, with blackberries and black cherries all over the palate, and in the round finish. The wine blends 90% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. This is perfect for early drinking pleasure, yet it can be aged for a few years to add more complexity as well.
