Score 87-89/100 · Jeb Dunnuck, May 2025

A blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, the 2024 Blason d'Issan offers soft red and black fruits, medium body, and a supple, balanced mouthfeel. The tannins are fine and integrated, and it has an easy, charming character that will drink well right out of the gate.

A touch of minerals and graphite to the red cherries. Tight tannins on the palate, with more bones than flesh. Juicy, fresh and long. An elegant vintage that shows crunch and structure without getting overly chewy. 52% cabernet sauvignon and 46% merlot.

52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot. Cask sample. Pale crimson hue. Fruity and fresh with sufficient mid-palate fruit. Dies away a little on the finish. (JL)
