Austere, but well built, layers that build slowly but surely, plenty of white and black pepper spice, leafy but fragrant, this is enjoyable, classic and balanced, a little old school but full of pleasure. Harvest 23 September to 7 October. 28% new oak
The 2024 Belgrave has a light, savory bouquet with blackberry mixed with mocha scents and a touch of mint. The palate is fresh, nicely composed and quite saline, with crisp tannins and moderate length. At least there is a sense of vigor and brightness in this Haut-Médoc.
Blackberries, black currants, spearmint, and a hint of dark chocolate form the core of this wine. Medium-bodied, crunchy, and juicy, with plenty of currants in every sniff, and sip. Just a year or so in the bottle, and this will be easy to enjoy for at least 15 years or more.
