Tasting notes
Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, opens with a wave of blackcurrant fruit, leafy but fragrant. This is consistent wine that I recommend highly in almost every vintage - but it struggles in 2024 with overly-austere tannins. 38% new oak. Harvest 2 September to October 8.

Cigar box, currants, and a touch of spice are at work in the nose, and on the forward, fruity, medium-bodied palate. This is going to be delicious on release. The wine blends 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot, and 4% Cabernet Franc.
Crystalline but dense, compact and quite chewy. This is authentically expressive of its appellation, but with a much more delicate tannic extraction than it used to have. Plummy, a touch of wood smoke and a fair bit of pepper and spice. The acidity is a little elevated on the finish, but overall this is well-managed.
