The 2014 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru has a very pure and refined bouquet with scents of white peach, praline, honeysuckle and subtle mineral scents. This is compelling. The palate is very well balanced with touches of bitter lemon on the tip of the tongue, very good weight in the mouth, touches of orange peel and pink grapefruit with a long, long finish. Afford this Bâtard-Montrachet 4-5 years in bottle.

Same grower as the Bienvenues. Big and round and very clean. Rich and clean and very beguiling. Long and throbbing. (JR)
