Score 86/100 · Drink 1990-2001, Robert Parker, Jan 1998
Medium to deep ruby, with an intensely spicy, slightly herbaceous nose, du Tertre's 1983 is rich and ripe, with medium-bodied flavors that exhibit good concentration and moderate tannins that are beginning to melt away. This is a very good, rather than exceptional, wine from the 1983 vintage. Anticipated maturity: Now-2001. Last tasted, 11/90.
