Here too there is a subtle application of wood setting off the darker fruit aromas of forest floor, humus and a hint of game character. There is both excellent volume and richness to the powerful and muscular larger-bodied flavors that conclude in a dusty, compact and robust finale that just avoids rusticity. This too is clearly built-to-age and a wine that's going to need at least some forbearance.
