From a property owned by Flaneur Wines at a high elevation of about 800 feet, the 2021 Pinot Noir La Belle Promenade Vineyard pours a youthful ruby hue and takes on a floral perfume of ripe red and black raspberry, purple flowers, and rosemary. Structured and medium-bodied, it’s elegant, with sunny fruit through the palate, and has mineral-tinged accents that coarse through the wine as well as ripe tannins. As someone who enjoys tannin, I like this now, but it will certainly improve with a few years in the cellar. Drink 2025-2040.

Translucent garnet. Very juicy and racy. Very appealing. Fine and focused. Very attractive. Maybe not that long but well balanced. (JR)
