Tasting notes
Regusci is nestled between Stag's Leap Wine Cellars and Chimney Rock, east of Clos du Val's Hirondelle Vineyard, which is a long way of saying it's a good neighborhood for Cabernet Sauvignon. Made by Thomas Rivers Brown, Caterwaul's 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Regusci Vineyard showcases lovely red fruit—strawberries and raspberries—plus some gentle floral nuances. It's full-bodied but true to the silkiness of the district, delicately textured and long on the elegant finish.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Regusci Vineyard is a real powerhouse. Blackberry jam, chocolate, new leather, licorice, spice and sweet French oak are all amped up. An exuberant, full-throttle Cabernet, the Regusci brings the goods. It's a big, inky wine with port-like richness and tons of textural lushness that will be very easy to drink and enjoy upon release.
From a site in Stags Leap, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Regusci Vineyard offers up an iron, almost bloody vibe in its assorted dark fruits, chocolate, crushed stone, and violet-tinged aromas and flavors. Hitting the palate with full-bodied richness, I love its tannins, and it has flawless balance as well as a great finish.
