Score 84/100 · Robert Parker, Aug 1994

LAST TASTED 5/93 When this wine was released in 1980 it was so soft, ripe, and easy to understand and drink that tasters concluded it would not age. However, seventeen years later this amber edge-colored wine possesses ripe, herbal, black-cherry, curranty flavors, medium body, a silky texture, and an absence of any hard tannin. It remains drinkable and tasty in a straightforward, lighter style.
