Score 88/100 · Drink 2024-2029, Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate, Oct 2024
The 2021 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley was matured for 15 months in 42% new French oak. It's scented of wild berries, allspice, potpourri and dusty earth. The light-bodied palate is chalky and refreshing with concentrated, earthy fruit and an easygoing finish. 1,050 cases produced.

Pouring a nearly opaque purple/ruby, the 2021 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley is another potent wine from Benovia, with notes of scorched earth, sassafras, and black cherry preserve. Full-bodied, it lends a silky mouth-coating texture, with baked black raspberry, turned soil, and toasted spices. A ripe and juicy style that’s a bit lacking on freshness, it should be drunk over the near term.
