Tasting notes
The 2015 Pinot Noir Sierra Mar is a classic, spice, mostly red-fruited effort that has medium-bodied aromas and flavors, good mid-palate depth, and a clean, juicy finish. It's a rock-solid effort that's going to drink nicely for 4-6 years and keep even longer if you're so inclined.

Medium ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Pinot Noir Sierra Mar Vineyard has a beautiful red currant, cranberry and Bing cherry-scented nose with hints of tree bark and cloves. Full-bodied, rich and concentrated, it fills the palate with ripe, generous red fruit, supported by velvety tannins and finishing long and spicy.
Deep red. Powerful, mineral- and spice-accented red and dark berry and floral pastille aromas pick up hints of woodsmoke, vanilla and five-spice powder with air. Sappy, penetrating black raspberry, bitter cherry and rose pastille flavors show very good depth, and hints of spicecake and cola add complexity. Becomes sweeter with air and shows strong thrust on the subtly tannic, persistent finish, which features rounded tannins and lingering spice and floral notes.
