Score 89/100 · Drink 2024-2030, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Jan 2024

The 2019 Sparkling Chardonnay Brosseau Vineyard is tightly wound at this stage. There's good initial intensity. Crushed rocks, chalk, mint, white pepper and citrus are nicely delineated. This needs is a bit more substance in the mid-palate and greater expression of place. Perhaps time in bottle will allow those critical attributes to come through. Dosage is 2 grams per liter. Disgorged: May 2022.

Score 17/20 · Drink 2023-2029, Jancis Robinson MW, Nov 2023

Chardonnay fermented in neutral oak with ambient yeasts. Malolactic conversion inhibited. Unfined and unfiltered. Aged on the lees in bottle for between 32 and 42 months. Disgorged in May 2023. Dosage 2 g/l. Light-to-medium yellow-gold with fine bubbles. Aromas of lemon pith and wet chalkboard. Crisply mineral lemon pith and white flowers have a wonderful stony quality and a light mousse. Clean, wet pavement, oyster shell and lemon flowers linger in the finish. Tasty. (AY)
