Tasting notes
Lots of iron, bloody blue fruits, and some flowery incense notes emerge from the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard, a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from a great vineyard on the west side of St. Helena. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has the vintage's fresh, focused, elegant mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and outstanding length. It's well worth seeking out and has another 15-20 years of prime drinking.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras reveals a lifted, floral nose of rose oil and lavender over a core of warm cassis and redcurrant jelly, with a waft of dusty soil. The elegantly styled, medium to full-bodied palate is filled with perfumed red and black fruits, featuring soft tannins and a refreshing line, finishing long and layered.
