Tasting notes
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Actaeon is relatively approachable for this site, where the wines tend to be a bit richer and darker. Cedar, tobacco, licorice and mint add pretty aromatic top notes to the reddish fruit. There is a lovely softness to the 2017 today, but beneath that the tannins are just a bit gritty, which will become more evident over time. The 2017 is Aaron Pott's final Cabernet from the Quixote vineyard.

Composed of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Actaeon Quixote Vineyard displays a deep garnet-purple color. It features notes of baked black and red cherries, blackcurrant preserves, sautéed herbs and tobacco leaf with touches of fallen leaves and charcoal. Medium to full-bodied, it has a firm, grainy texture and loads of freshness supporting the abundant black fruit layers, finishing with an herbal lift. 147 cases were made.
