Score 89/100 · Drink 2016-2026, Robert Parker, Dec 2016
I tasted three vintages of their NVD Cabernet Sauvignon, which is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from vineyards on the eastern side of Napa at relatively high elevations of 1,000 to 1,800 feet. It is a cross AVA blend from Howell Mountain, Calistoga, Pritchard Hill and Soda Canyon and spent 22 months in 70% new French oak. The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon NVD is opaque purple, surprisingly soft and round, but keep in mind this is not one of the estate wines. Loads of blackcurrant and blueberry fruit intermix with charcoal and pen ink. It is medium to full-bodied, pure and should drink nicely for another 10+ years.
