Tasting notes
The youthfully tight 2018 Chardonnay Zephyr Vineyard takes its time to unwind on the nose, opening with touches of flint and roasted almonds over a core of citrus peel and an earthy undercurrent. The palate is light-bodied, beginning with bright mineral character before fleshing into more savory, nori tones, zeroing back in for a long, crisp finish.

The 2018 Chardonnay Zephyr emerges from a steep parcel planted with Mt. Eden Clone Chardonnay. In the glass, the Zephyr is laced with a whole range of citrus, mineral, floral and savory nuances. Medium in body and sculpted, the Zephyr shows the taut style that comes so naturally on this part of the Sonoma Coast. Readers should expect a gracious, yet introverted Chardonnay that reveals its charms, but only slowly.
