Tasting notes
The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Grigsby Vineyard gives up a deep garnet color and is scented of Black Forest cake, warm blueberries, plum preserves and cassis with touches of cigar box, dried lavender, bay leaves and black olives. Full-bodied and richly fruited in the mouth, the palate delivers buckets of spice and earth-laced black fruit preserves, framed with chewy tannins and finishing with an herbal lift.

(15.3% alcohol): Full medium ruby. Medicinal black cherry, licorice, cocoa powder and sweet oak notes on the deep nose. Then rather monolithic and extractive in the mouth, with a combination of roasted black cherry and a strong herbal element suggesting a wide range of ripeness. Ultimately a bit simple and green, with a touch of bitterness to its tannins.
