Really tangy nose. Hint of barnyard. Clementines and toast and marshmallows and cowpat-compost. Interesting, grippy, complex and savoury and spicy but with a spine of pure red fruit lined with orange peel running through from start to finish, refined and sure. (TC)

This very floral and pretty Valpolicella Ripasso is full of energy, as well as lively violets, lavender and citrus. Taut and tightly wound, it edges past vibrant cherries with vivid, succulent appeal. Drink now.
