The inky blue/black-hued 2017 Petite Sirah Palisades Vineyard Old Vine (mostly Petite Sirah) is a powerhouse of a Petite Sirah that doesn’t pull any punches in its awesome aromas of blue fruits, liquid violets, graphite, and lead pencil. These carry to a full-bodied, deep, massive effort that has a wall of tannins, flawless balance, and a great finish. It's a primordial beast of a wine that's going to require 4-5 years of bottle age, but it's heavenly stuff none the less.
