Score 91/100 · Drink 2015-2030, Robert Parker, Apr 2015

Showing much better than when previously tasted, the 2011 Nicole’s Proprietary Red , a blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot and the rest Petit Verdot and Malbec, shows beautiful blackcurrant, blueberry fruit, a floral note, nicely integrated oak, a medium to full-bodied mouthfeel, a savory, plush, rather sumptuous texture and no hard edges. Everything is nicely integrated into this Bordeaux blend, which displays lots of complexity and plenty of character. It should drink well for 12-15 years, although it is certainly approachable now and already beginning to show some secondary nuances and complexity.

The 2011 Nicole's Proprietary Red Blend is beautiful. Focused, articulate and very nicely balanced, the 2011 is super-impressive. Dark red/blackish fruit, graphite, iron, smoke, leather, licorice and tobacco grace the palate in a wine that combines richness with finesse. The long finish alone is striking. The 2011 will drink well pretty much upon release and for another decade beyond that.
