Charming and demonstrative, the 2019 Pommard 1er Cru Clos Micault bursts with aromas of orange rind, peonies and raspberries. Medium to full-bodied, ample and enveloping, its lively and perfumed. Planted in 1958, this was the first vineyard the Voillot family purchased back in 1870. This will offer a broad drinking window.

Matured in one new and one used barrel, the 2019 Pommard Clos Micault 1er Cru has a transparent and well defined bouquet that is slightly more savory than the other cuvées from the domaine. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy raspberry and cranberry fruit, a touch of sour cherry with a piquant finish that just needs a bit more length. Fine.
