Tasting notes
The 2018 Pommard 1er Cru Clos Micault is true to form once again, soaring from the glass in a blaze of peonies, orange rind, sweet berry fruit and plums. Medium to full-bodied, charming and perfumed, its fleshy core of fruit is framed by melting tannins and succulent acids.

The 2018 Pommard Clos Micault 1er Cru comes from 0.13 hectares of vine planted in 1958. It has a lovely bouquet, well defined and focused, with precise blackberry, raspberry and undergrowth aromas. The medium-bodied palate matches supple tannin with fine acidity, and veins of dark chocolate run through the red and black fruit, leading to a quite a dense finish for this lesser-known Premier Cru. Very fine. Three barrels produced.
