Score 94/100 · Drink 2026-2036, Eric Guido, Vinous, May 2024

Darkly floral and nearly peppery, the 2022 Pinot Noir Temperance Hill wafts up with an enticing blend of crushed blackberries, sage and exotic spice complicated by hints of worn leather. This is elegant in feel, with silken textures and herbal-tinged wild berry fruits that swirl across a stream of zesty acidity. It leaves a sour cranberry crunchiness that lingers as fine-grained tannins frame the experience remarkably well. The 2022 is a blend of 20-year-old vines in the north block and pre-phylloxera vines in the flats within Temperance Hill.
