Score 95/100 · Drink 2006-2021, Robert Parker, Dec 2006
A fabulous offering from Berry’s Bridge, this 100% Shiraz, cropped at a tiny 1.83 tons of fruit per acre and aged 18 months in a combination of French and American oak, was fashioned with the help of consulting winemaker, Dan Standish. An inky/ruby/purple color is followed by glorious aromas of spring flowers, blackberry liqueur, creme de cassis, licorice, and camphor. Boasting superb fruit as well as purity, full body, and elevated tannins lurking behind the cascade of fruit, glycerin, and extract, it should drink beautifully over the next 12-15 years.
