Tasting notes
The 2010 Minervois La Liviniere La Cantilene still shows plenty of oak in its dark cherry, licorice, coffee bean and earthy bouquet. This flows to a medium+-bodied, nicely concentrated red that has good freshness and moderate length. Given the youthful feel here, it should continue to evolve nicely for another 5-6 years.

Mostly Syrah, 25% new oak, limestone soil. Perfumed, floral and violets. Intense, coiled, dark fruits and a touch of aniseed. A purple-tasting wine. Peppery and vigorous and seamless tannins. So fluid and supple in the mouth. Silky. Yet firm. Lovely orange peel and black fruit. Beautifully balanced. Gorgeously sweet fruit. A mouthful of delight. VGV (TC)
