Tasting notes
Bright violet color. Cherry-vanilla, mocha and woodsmoke on the fragrant nose. Plump and appealingly sweet, offering dark fruit preserve, cola and vanilla flavors and a hint of cracked pepper. Finishes with gentle tannic grip, very good energy and lingering sweetness. Shows a lot of upfront appeal; I'd drink this sexy wine on the young side.

Garon's 2010 La Sybarine exhibits a dark ruby/plum color along with a sweet perfume of licorice, fruitcake, black raspberries, Asian plum sauce, forest floor and spring flowers. Medium to full-bodied and round with supple tannins and outstanding ripeness as well as texture, it should be consumed over the next decade. This young vigneron, who has been going from strength to strength over recent vintages, has produced an impressive trilogy of 2010s.
