Tasting notes
The 2015 Grenache Provisor Vineyard is another ripe wine with intense fruit and equally imposing tannins. There is good defintion to the dark cherry fruit and tobacco flavors, but not a ton of freshness or nuance. I would prefer to drink the 2015 within the next few years at most.

Pale ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Grenache Provisor Vineyard has pretty cherry cordial, fresh raspberries and baking spices notes with suggestions of violets and roses plus a waft of thyme. Medium-bodied with a chewy frame to support the pretty, perfumed red berry characters, it has lovely freshness and restraint.
Coming from the Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma, the 2015 Grenache Provisor Vineyard (100% Grenache made with 50% stems) is slightly leaner and grippier, with plenty of red fruits, apple peel and spice character coming through in a medium-bodied, fresh and elegant style. Focusing exclusively on Grenache, winemaker Angela Osborne continues to pull from some of the oldest vines and vineyards in California. She makes a silky, elegant style of Grenache that’s often reminiscent of a Pinot Noir.
