Score 88/100 · Drink 2013-2021, Robert Parker, Jun 2013
The 2003 Alta, a blend of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot and 5% Syrah, reveals a clean, pure, discrete but proper nose, medium to full body, and a rich, impressive style. It is a far more serious wine with better texture, richness and length than its siblings. Close to full maturity, it should continue to drink well for 7-8 years. All three of these wines come from the high-elevation mountain AVA of Coombsville. Since 2005, the brand name “Farella” has been used for the estate’s proprietary blends, while they continue to use the estate name “Farella-Park” for their varietal wines. Tel. (707) 254-9489
