Tasting notes
Another gorgeous wine in this range, the 2015 Pinot Noir (Sta. Rita Hills) is pliant, supple and quite expressive. There is a real sense of vertical depth to the fruit that distinguishes the Sta. Rita Hills from the Santa Maria bottling. Fruit sources are Radian and Sanford & Benedict.

I tasted two 2015 Pinot Noirs, but solid. Cherries, mints, sappy flowers and hints of strawberries emerge from 2015 Pinot Noir SRH and it’s from close to equal parts Radian Vineyard and Sanford & Benedict Vineyard. This juicy, lively, fresh and slightly fleeting Pinot Noir has a kick of tannin, so give it a year or two to see if it gains some complexity. Based out of Santa Ynez, Liquid Farm Winery is a collaboration between Jeff Nelson, Nikki Pallesen and James Sparks. They make a bevy of classically styled, age-worthy Chardonnays, a Bandol-styled rosé, and two Pinot Noirs.
