Tasting notes
The 2020 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru comes from fruit originating from the Pernand side of the hill. It could not come from anywhere else on the nose: light honeyed tones intermingle with marzipan and shavings of almond. The oak is neatly enmeshed. The palate is very concentrated with fine acidity, powerful with good weight, mineral-driven with a very focused finish. Not much more you could wish for from this fantastic Corton-Charlemagne courtesy of Benoît Moreau.

Notes of buttered orchard fruit, beeswax, white flowers and hazelnuts introduce the 2020 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, a medium to full-bodied, layered and lively wine with fine cut and grip. This is another cuvée that I suspect will tighten up with another winter on the lees.
