2013 San Fereolo - Austri

This is an estate selection of Barbera grapes. The San Fereolo 2013 Langhe Austri is darkly concentrated and powerful, although the richness of the fruit works in balance with the 14% alcoholic content. There are evolved notes of dark spice and smoky tar interwoven with baked cherry and blackberry preserves. To the palate, the wine is mid-weight and not overly heavy. Some 9,000 bottles were rolled out.
