There are 1,000 cases of the 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford. It offers a distinctive kirsch, black cherry liqueur, and loamy soil-scented character to its full-bodied richness. It is expansive and charming. Full-bodied, with admirable depth and purity, this wine can be drunk now as well as over the next 20 years. Tel. (800) 600-6899

Medium ruby-red. Plum and redcurrant liqueur plus a strong component of tarry oak on the nose. Fat, sweet and round, with a flavor of candied redcurrants. A bit chunky and obvious but nicely balanced and not heavy. Finishes with good length and even tannins.
