Tasting notes
Score 92/100 · Drink 2000-2006, Pierre Rovani, Aug 1998

This wine has a bright dark ruby color, a fabulous nose of violets, black cherries, and cinnamon candy, and a beautifully ripe, delineated, defined, medium-to-full-bodied core of juicy red cherries that seemingly explode on the palate. This broad, expansive, and velvety wine has ripe tannins. Anticipated maturity: 2000-2006. Note: This wine is crafted exclusively for North Berkeley Imports and is bottled unfined and unfiltered. Only 25 cases of each of these special cuvees were produced. Importer: "Reserve" wines are Vezan/Hinkle selections for North Berkeley Imports, Berkeley, CA; tel (510) 848-8910, importers include Michael Skurnik, Syosset, NY; tel. (516) 677-9300
